NEW FOR 2026 - GRS "BLADE" - THE LATEST e-TARGET WITH THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY
GLOBAL RANGE SOLUTIONS ["GRS"] (www.globalrangesolutions.com) is delivering a significantly improved electronic target system, initially for the Australian market. The GRS BLADE system (powered by Silver Mountain Targets IP) is uniquely designed to address the prohibitive shortfalls and related issues of most all acoustic open mic electronic target systems. First Australia wide shipments started in Jan-2026, after pilot sights proven from Sept 2025.
Australian
rifle
clubs considering a new or updated electronic target system solution can
contact David Waters
to arrange a
personalised equipment requirements review and a quote. GRS also offer quotes for installations,
training and shooting match support.
Electronic targets are part of many government safety grants programs. Please consider GRS as a solution or to assist with your grant application.
A number of Australian ranges
have already adopted the exceptional performance of the GRS BLADE e-target system.
The major key technical advances in
the latest sensor technology have demonstrated the
nearly perfect:
- Elimination
of ghost shots. Ghost shots are frustration experienced with older open-sensor acoustic
larger multi-lane shooting installations that significantly hinders events.
Blade eleminates these.
- Nullification
of
the objectionable number of lost shots fired on a target. Lost
shots are another frustration
that most e-target systems regular suffer.
The above 2 major issues are reduced spectacularly by the GRS BLADE system, the extent of which can only be appreciated by seeing a major match in operation and comparing it to previous experiences. While these 2 issues are the major issues many ranges face, there are many other issues that have also been addressed by GRS BLADE. New sensors and system architecture design makes GRS BLADE offer a significant increase in all levels of performance and accuracy.

GRS BLADE e-Target SYSTEMS Pricing - start at A$1300 and go up depending on options, quantity, parts already on hand, etc.

All hardware warranty is 1 year, and back to base at buyers cost.
GRS BLADE BETTER PERFORMANCE THAN SMT T-SOLO
Some BLADE parts look new and unique, and there are less parts in the BLADE solution over SMT and other accousting systems. But, the booms sort of look the same, and the server looks the same. What is going on?
The GRS BLADE is the latest technology and architecture. Some housing parts from the SOLO are used in the BLADE, as these same parts are backwards compatible to many earlier SMT e-target systems.
But when it comes to performance, and ease to use, nothing comes close. Here are some points for consideration:
a) The BLADE housing is small, compact, ergonomically shaped, and simply mounted using a 5th mic boom mount, incorporated battery holder and a robust assembly.
b) Power to the BLADE is now via a Type C USB socket, and is reinforced to overcome the fragility of the previous SOLO USB Mini sockets.
c) Runs the latest circuit design, chipsets and microprocessors to recognise more noise and cancel it.
d) Now running an easy mount Omni whip antenna that is suitable to 1500 yards.
e) Runs the latest generation of mic booms, with new for 2026 precision sensor cups, new circuits, and new firmware. These are the latest and are near perfect. This component is what sets BLADE from the rest.
f) Proven improved shot responsiveness and greater shot to shot and group accuracy.
g) Power use is greatly reduced. A 5000mAh battery lasts 14 hours.
g) 900% improvement* in reducing lost shots, over all previous SMT generations and all other competitor brands
h) No intrusive ghost shots* (thus far).
It goes without saying, that the system is only as good as it is setup and use. Ensure e-targets and peripheral equipment is setup correctly (dimensions, geometry, squareness, etc) and equipment in good working order.

One of the GRS S4-LR Server being used on a 24x lane GRS BLADE electronic target setup. GRS BLADE ET, with housing mounted on the target using a omni/whip antenna (no lead).
(Note: Running the GRS BLADE without a lead results in less loss, so less equipment means less to handle and manage, and cheaper to buy and use.)
GRS S4-LR SERVER - new for 2026. This is the latest long range housing server with in-built 14dBi panel antenna.
S4 ADVANTAGES: The latest S4 server offers significant, and welcomed, capabilities, some which include:
- Internally going from 2x micro-computers in the S7 to just 1x in the S4. This reduces current draw from the S7 1Amp to now operate at around 0.25Amps of the S4.
- Reduced power consumption means the ability to use lighter, smaller and cheaper power banks, that charge faster. All positive...
- The S4 no longer runs an SD card, so there is no threats of corruption. No more safe shutdown, no more reflashing or lost configuration. Just pull the plug and it is off, plug in and it is on.
- The S4 is the baseline for the latest SMT software that is being enhanced now...including "set distance", "turbo mode" (for large installs), more settings and controls on system setup and performance, and so on.
S4 DISADVANTAGES: Compared to the S7, include:
- Having 1x computer, instead of 2, means less computing power which makes saves and restores longer, likewise downloads and applying updates and patches.
- Less onboard memory, so strings should be deleated, depending on use, more regularly, say up to 6 months for typical 5 lane weekly used ranges.
S4 Server Pricing - starts at A$350 for an upgrade option of current S7s (recommended), or buy a new S4 assembly.
All systems come with 1 hour support via call or email. All hardware warranty is 1 year, and back to base at buyers cost.
Initially available only in Australia, as of January 2026, shooter David Waters explains how Global Range Solutions has created the GRS BLADE for Australia. David introduced open-sensor e-targets systems to Australian shooting in 2012 with his purchase of literally the first Silver Mountain Targets system in Australia, with Waters unprecedented 13 years of experience allows GRS to deliver a better e-target system to Australian ranges and shooters today:
Global Range Solutions are here to help the Australian shooters with a complete electronic rifle target range solution for small personal needs up to large and complex installatoins. The BLADE system is the answer.
We are yet to complete this website, but please do touch base with us to let us engage with you regarding the latest Silver Mountain Targets BLADE technology.
